A few weeks ago Mum and I took the Z for a drive round some of San Francisco's famous architecture. First stop was the Palace of Fine Arts, built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific Exposition, The palace is the only remaining one of ten that were built. From Roman and Greek architectural influences Architect Bernard Maybeck is said to have designed a fictional ruin from another time.
