I was introduced to a place about 1 hour north of San Francisco. A place that you will not find in any tour guide book, its pretty hard to even find on a map, and it has no sign posts at all. Sherman Island has nothing. No shop, no power, no nothing. It does have however have a few very important aspects that bring people to it day in day out. Warm weather, Constant breeze and flat water make it almost the kiteboarding capital of San Francisco. A trip to Sherman involves drinking beer and kiteboarding. Nothing else matters. Dont go there planning to achieve anything, it wont get done.
