Boulders & Grapes

Day 2 came round and we did better cape towning! The weather so far has been a little below par. Reminds me very much of Auckland, argh, I hate Auckland weather.. But this was not going to stop us.

After an early rise from our 16 hour sleeps it was time to get out and see this place. We headed off to Boulders Beach known very much for its.. well as the name explains, its known very much for its pinguins. Lots of penguins. It was pretty amazing being close enough to them that they could peck your lens if they wanted.

Just around the bend from boulders beach is Simon's Town, The name reminds me of Jonestown, however upon arrival Simon's town is the complete oposite. A nice peaceful seaside village with a small port and the Naval Base just around the edge.

After drive around the coast to Fish Hoek (pronounced fish hook) we set off for a quick taste of some fermented grapes. Constantia is South Africa's oldest vineyard, and I'm mad I didn't really get any photos of the architecture or of the vineyard. All I got was a half sculled wine glass and some tress. I'm going to blame the weather, its been a bit shit.
