If you could build anything on a 5 axis CNC machine what would it be? There are some rules, you can only use one sheet of plywood. You only have 3 days for design, milling, and assembly, and it has to be some sort of lamp.
Well this is what we ended up with. 77 frustrating pieces, each of a different size, no two pieces identical, no piece symmetrical. We are not really sure what we created, At first we thought it was a large soccer ball but maybe its the death star, either way we managed to finish glueing it together on friday! This workshop was about learning the CNC as we have a huge project due in a few weeks that will require us to use this machine ALOT.
We had the Gala Dinner friday night also, celebrating the 50 year anniversary of the school. The Danish can drink. It was an amazing night full of endless bottles of wine and dancing!
