The Vatican at dusk

We missed out on getting tickets to see the Pope's speech on the Wednesday, however when I went back to take some photos all the chairs where still perfectly laid out. Amy had stayed at the hostel to sleep after our huge day walking the Forum, but I decided to go on a photography mission. I caught the metro to the vatican, then caught the metro to the colosseum for some night photography. By the end of our 3 week trip in Italy I was shattered, there was just too much I wanted to photograph.

I really enjoyed taking photos of the Vatican at this time, there was probably only about 5 people walking around the whole square. It was a very peaceful time, listening to the fountain and trying to get the shots I wanted that best described how I felt being there. The colours of the light and the shadow on the chairs held my attention for a long long time, as you might be able to tell, the were some of my favourite photographs that night.. and as Amy said 'there just photos of chairs! glad I didn't come with you.. looks boring.' hahaha
