They call this the colour run, "the happiest 5km on the planet". 10,000 people turned out to get a perfectly white t-shirt a little dirty, dirty? or colourful? Basically the day started with everyone standing around in completely matching white t shirts. We warmed up in front of the main stage and then headed down to the start line. in groups of around 300 people we each headed off on the 5km run around pukekohe raceway.
At each Kilometer you got covered in a different colour, after 1km it was green, then pink, then blue and finally yellow, As you came to the finish you got handed a packet of coloured powder for use in the 'post race festival.'
After the run I was like yea this is pretty colourful, but It wasn't until being in a mosh pit with 4000 other people throwing packets of colour in the air that you realised how cray it was. This put the E-M5s weather sealing to the ultimate test. I have never seen my camera look so destroyed in all its life, the powder went everywhere! but needless to say it was worth it to get photos like these I feel.
Enjoy! and hope you are all having an awesome weekend.
