Contemporary Jewish Museum

29 months after researching my first Daniel Libeskind building for a project during architecture school I finally found a piece of his work in the flesh. Daniel Libeskind's buildings are definitely out of the ordinary, many many people hate his work, I however find it intriguing.

The Contemporary Jewish Museum nestled between some of San Francisco's oldest churches is hidden away in the back streets behind market street. I was taken completely by surprise as I walked down the alleyway, I wasnt even looking for this building.

Its not everyones cup of tea, but for me and the impact this man had on my architecture degree, it was a pretty awesome day. I never made it inside and am so super gutted, never enough time even though I was there for 3 months. One day I will get back to SF.
