The prison was set up for the political prisoners, the people wanting their freedom, the ones who stood up and tried to do something about it.
The dompas was put in place on all black people, translated as 'Stupid pass' It was a card that allowed black people to be out from 6am to 6pm and only work in certain areas. Failure to present your card at any time resulted imprisonment.
Its hard to think that the world was like this :-/ I'm not feeling funny atm, these posts are pretty boring. so ill stop typing, enjoy the pictures. (the cell was Nelson Mandela's for 18 years!)
