With notice given that we are moving back to Bulls, it become a top priority for me to do one last epic adventure in the Upper South Island. I had a few more rides planned as well but will save those for our next posting. This ride was the famous Molesworth, Rainbow Road loop. Joined by 7 of my good mates we started at my place in Woodbourne in the pissing rain heading up to Havlock. We paused in Havlock for an hour waiting for the rain to pass before heading along the link pathway to Picton. Day one involved everything I love about bike packing. Shit yarns with mates, endless beer stops, and skids. Day 1 was just a taster of things to come!
