Wanting to love the Fuji X100F

Professionally & Personally I've been shooting on Canon full frame for around 6 years. However sometime last year I picked up a small Panasonic GX85 as my all-round bikepacking / daily camera. I started my photography journey on the humble little Micro Four Thirds GF1 with the stunning 20mm pancake lens so it felt comfortable to be back with a tiny camera and tiny lenses, however with that package comes the tiny sensor. I did two decent trips with the GX85 and was quite happy with the results, however, the allure of the Fuji X100 just kept drawing me in.

I loved the idea of shooting nice looking Jpg, having just the 35mm lens which is my favourite focal length, and a half decent-sized sensor. I wanted it to be my dream camera so I bought one with the intention of taking it everywhere. I tried my best to love it, I took it everywhere for 3 months, and captured a few photos I was happy with but never fell in love. I disliked only shooting JPGs, I didn't really like how the RAW files handled when editing, the menu never felt unnatural, and all in all I didn't have fun with it.

I have no doubt that the internet is correct in saying the 'X100 is the greatest camera ever.' But I just didn't have fun with it, I went back to my cheap little GX85 for every day mucking around and instantly felt more comfortable and had more fun shooting again. Here is a small snapshot of my time with the X100...
